4.1 Positions

Page positions can be empty, labelled with a marker and occupied by a page.

4.2 Markers

Positions can be labelled with markers. Markers indicate positions in the flatplan which are destined to be editorial content or advert content.

4.3 Marking Positions

Click the Ad or Ed button depending on whether you wish to indicate an advert or editorial marker. Editorial markers appear in grey, adverts in blue. By default markers appear without names.

4.4 Naming Markers

To name a marker select the top drop down arrow and click Edit. The marker name will automatically appear in the marker bar and inside the marker box. Marker names can be changed at any time and will update automatically inside the marker box provided the marker name in the marker box has not been removed or altered.

4.5 Edit Text in Marker Box

The marker box will automatically contain the marker name. If you wish to modify or add text inside the marker box click the bottom dropdown and select 'Edit Text'.

4.6 Extending or Shrinking Markers

To extend or shrink a marker across page positions, click the edit button then click the marker length from the drop down list. Alternatively tab to the drop down menu then click the down arrow until you reach the required number.

4.7 Deleting Markers

Markers can be deleted at anytime from the marker menubar dropdown. Simply click and select delete.

4.8 Marker Rules

Markers can be extended or shrunk across page positions. If an editorial marker is extended across a postion that is already marked as an advert marker then the marker will jump to the next empty position. This leaves the advert marker intact.

4.9 Advert Marker Types

Advert markers can labeled as various types. You can access this from the marker menubar. This additional data can then be accessed via the SendToVIP plugin, allowing you to narrow down the type of advert you wish to send to.

4.10 Part Page Advert Markers

Individual page markers can be broken into multiple markers. Allowing you to label part page advertising on the flatplan. To access this functionality, select part pages ads using the bottom dropdown menu on any page marker.

You should now see the manage part pages panel. Here you simply select the desired advert shape then enter a name and click save.
